Central Bank of China, Taiwan Issue, unissued 10 yuan, Year 34 (1945), serial numbers AF346734, (Pick 271), PMG 55EPQ. Of the 6 higher grade examples, only 1 with EPQ designation. These Taiwan issues were created to replace the existing notes in Taiwan issued by the Japanese created Bank of Taiwan. But due to the political and economic instability during that period, as well as not wanting to exacerbate the existing inflation caused by the Japanese mass printing banknotes to raise funds for the ongoing war, these notes were subsequantly destroyed. Very scarce in this grade and in consecutive pairs with the next lot.
