Central Bank of China, Taiwan Issue, 100 yuan, Year 34 (1945), serial number AF530537, (Pick 277B), PMG 30. With only 4 in a better grade. These Taiwan issues were created to replace the existing notes in Taiwan issued by the Japanese created Bank of Taiwan. But due to the political and economic instability during that period, as well as not wanting to exacerbate the existing inflation caused by the Japanese mass printing banknotes to raise funds for the ongoing war, these notes were subsequently destroyed. ex-Isamu Morimoto Collection. Great note with a great provenance!
