1940 (11 May) commercial envelope to Amsterdam bearing Sun Yat Sen $2.25 franking tied by Shanghai c.d.s. with handstruck "By I.A.L./Hongkong" and triangular Hong King "17" censor handstamp; boxed "no service/return to sender" applied in England and returned (not by airmail) probably via Lisbon, Germany (where German censor seal applied) and to Moscow to be put on the Trans-Siberian Railway and bears a fine strike of "Réexpédié par voie ordinaire après/été retourné à Shanghai" in purple.
