1937-38 a group of covers with 1937 (27 Feb.) envelope to Sweden bearing $2.65 franking (quadruple rate) bearing straight-line handstamp "via hongkong and i.a.l." in mauve struck in Shanghai; 1937 (3 Nov.) Air Orient envelope to France marked "Via Imperial Airways" and bearing single 80c. franking from Canton; 1938 (Feb.) two envelopes to England, both stamped with "By I.A.L." in purple, both from Shanghai bearing $1.90 (triple rate) and $1.35 (double rate) frankings. A good group. Rates 1.1.2.1. and 1.1.2.2. (4 covers)
