Lintin Island: 1836 (24 Jan.) Wetmore entire written from a ship off Lintin Island, "To be forwarded by the first opportunity, otherwise without markings. The writer recounts his disastrous trip on the 'Bombay' which ran aground and, "... last night we fell foul of another ship at anchor, carried away our jib beam & loose the main sail all to pieces" and severe (lung) sickness of the crew, "... one poor fellow, a seaman, who was quite hearty when I left the ship, was yesterday committed to his grave".
