1848 (27 Oct.) entire letter to London, the ship and rate mark are not very readable but the letter indicates this was carried by the 'Pekin' via Ceylon (the duplicate being sent by the 'Archilles') the flap, which opens well for display, with a good strike Jardine, Matheson & Co forwarding agent's cachet in red (used in 1848), Hong Kong type 9 c.d.s. (29.12) and London arrival (27.2) c.d.s. A good cover. Photo
