People's Bank of China, a fully printed 10 yuan with an unadopted design, undated, printed by the Beijing Banknote Printing Company, black and blue-green, Confucius at right of centre, watermark of Mao Zedong at left, reverse, purple brown, 'Zhongguo Renmin Yinhang', scenery of Guilin,
(Pick not listed), PMG 63 Choice Uncirculated (Previously Mounted). An extremely rare and important trial note of an unissued design. The production date of this note is uncertain but judging from its contempory look it should be relatively recent. The 5th series renminbi featuring Mao Zedong was released in 1999 and perhaps this design was proposed for the 5th series. In the end the 'Mao' design was finally adopted relegating this piece to history. Although one or two similar pieces have been sold in the past this is the only piece with double sided printing and the preferred format for collectors. A truly historical item which will excite even the most sophisticated collector of PRC banknotes!


中國人民銀行十元未經採納設計，無日期，北京印鈔廠，黑及藍綠色，右邊有孔子頭像，左邊有毛澤東水印，背面紫啡色，‘中國人民銀行’字樣，桂林景象，PMG 63，有黏貼痕跡，未發行之設計，極為罕見，此鈔的製作日期尚未能確定，但從樣式推斷應為較近代的設計，以毛澤東為題的第五版人民幣於1999年發布，也許此設計是為第五版而準備的，銀行最終決定採用毛澤東主題的設計，使這款設計成為歷史。儘管過去曾售出過一兩枚類似的拍品，但這是唯一有雙面印刷的設計鈔，也是藏家不能錯失之珍品!充滿歷史意義，絕對是中國現化鈔票藏家必爭之品
