Peking: 1899 (25 Apr,) envelope to Switzerland, marked registered (crossed through in red crayon) bearing C.I.P. ½c. (2), 4c., 5c. and 10c. tied by Peking Dollar dater with Hong Kong 5c. pair canceled by Shanghai c.d.s. (1.5) and a fine strike of the diminutive Peking type 1 tieprint and with French packet c.d.s.,the revere bears Shanghai bilingual c.d.s. (1.5), Hong Kong (5.5) and Bern arrival (3.6) c.d.s. Fine and unusual; franked for registered mail but probably put in the ordinary mail by mistake. Carried on the French mail boat 'Ernest Simons'

Late use of the Peking Dollar dater and is possibly the latest recorded cover (a sinly stamp is recorded with 7 May date)
