The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, $50, 1.5.1924, serial number O/C 158292, subtype 3 signed by Archibald Ferguson, orange, black and multicolour, bank coat of arms upper centre, vignette of a farming scene below, denomination in Chinese and English text left and right, reverse green and black, bank building at centre, (Pick 44), PMG 25 Very Fine (Ink). A magnificent original condition note. The second highest grade known for this type, only two notes graded higher.
