The Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China, $5, specimen, partial date '190_' (but circa 1905-1910 given the Cochrane signature), green, red and pink, coat of arms at upper centre, '$5' in red at upper left and right, value 'FIVE' in red underpint at centre, printed black manuscript signature of Cochrane at lower right, reverse green, value and bank title at centre, '5' at four corners, handstamp cancelled at obverse, perforated cancellation, (Pick 34s), PMG 53 About Uncirculated (Cancelled). Only two notes graded according to the PMG population report and this is the higher grade. An exceedingly rare offering and followed by the issued note in the next lot.
