1843 (13 Sept.) Bruce correspondence envelope and long letter from "Agincourt at Hong Kong" to his daughter in Ireland, marked "Overland" and bearing a part strike of the Hong Kong Royal Arms, rated "2/3" and with "india" in oval. The reverse has been opened and carefully resealed by the sender and bears a good strike of the framed "postage/Inward Bearing Ans/Outward d" with a manuscript total of "5" (Hammond Giles Bombay type SR5) along with London (5.1), Dublin (6.1) and Coleraine arrival (7.1) in green. The boxed "postage" mark on the reverse is also recorded on an 1843 cover from Macao to London (Ishikawa lot 552) and is mentioned by Lee Scamp (Postal Rate Hitory of China and Hong Kong), he later concludes that this mark was used in Hong Kong
