China, Qing Dynasty, Shansi Province, [Zhong Qian Genuine] silver 50 tael sycee, 1850-1861, stamped 'Xian Feng Nian Xin Yue' (Xian Feng Era), 'Tai Gu Xian' (Tai Gu County) and 'Yi Chong Tai', 123.8x64.5x87.1mm, weighs 1805.9g. Damaged and Repaired. Despite the noted flaws, this particular piece is still noteworthy because of the clearly struck stamps, epsecially when compared to other examples of the region as the stamps are usually closer to the sides and would become illegible. Furthermore, Xian Feng era sycees are considerably more uncommon than Guang Xu and Xuan Tong era sycees
