China, Qing Dynasty, Shansi Province, [Zhong Qian AU50] silver 5 tael sycee, (1911), stamped 'Jin Tai Yin Hao Hai Yang' at centre, 47.1x33.9x19.7mm, weighs 186.7g. Jin Tai Yin Hao is short for Jin Tai Guan (Government) Yin Hao which was set up in 1902. It ceased operations in 1912 due to raids by bandits, hence the earthly branch 'Hai' can be accurately attributed to a 1911 issue.
