1878 (13 June) blue Knowles envelope to London "via Brindisi" bearing 4c. grey and 8c. yellowish orange cancelled by a single strike of the "A1" obliterator with type E c.d.s. alongside, the reverse with a part strike of Hong Kong (15.6) c.d.s. (part flap missing). An interesting cover which either missed the underpayment for the premium route or was sent via Marseilles without further indication
