N.S.W. Contingent: 1900 (28 Aug.) Hong Kong 10c. postal stationery envelope to Sydney cancelled by Hong Kong code "E" c.d.s. bearing "T" in circle and "3d" crossed through in green crayon. Sent by "A.C. Barrett, A.B. Number 183 C Company N.S.W. Naval Contingent, Hong Kong". A rare and important cover, one of the very few using a Hong Kong stamp before the arrival of the C.E.F. stamps

The N.S.W. Contingent consisted of 570 men. Webb (page 188) records only two such covers
