The HongKong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, pair of progressive proofs $100 cut from a unique sheet, ND (1977-83), red and multicolour underprint, coat of arms at left, reverse red and multicolour, old HSBC building flanked by two lions, dragon in octagonal frame at right, printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. Limited,
(Pick 187r), PMG 63EPQ Choice Uncirculated, and in holder no grade, only 9 examples in the PMG grading report being graded higher. Note that Bradbury Wilkinson are not known to produce remainders and these notes were cut from 'pre-final production' proofs sheets that were created for final approval from the printer and HSBC. Hence they are NOT remainders or printing remnants as designated by PMG.Rare a must-have for any serious collector of vintage Hong Kong banknotes. (2)
