China, Qing Dynasty, Kwangsi Province, [Zhong Qian AU50] silver sycee of 10 taels, 28th year of Daoguang (1848), Ngchow (Wuzhou), weighs 341g, chop marks indicating the location, year, name of the silver smith for quality control and month as per official standards, "Huang Zhi Xiang" was the only assayer in Kwangsi Province for many years. Impressively weighty, this type of ingot is likely minted by the local officials as deduced from the chop marks, which is significantly more valuable than privately minted ones
