Lait.), nearly extremely fine (3) Estimate £ 250-300 Second Lieutenant Wilfred Francis James Lait, born London, 1889; moved with his family to Canada and at the outbreak of the Great War enlisted for service in Toronto, 25.11.1914; served with the 2nd Divisional Canadian Cyclists in the French theatre of War, from 15.9.1915; Lance Corporal 4.11.1915; commissioned Second Lieutenant 3rd Battalion Border Regiment, May 1917; he was killed in action whilst attached to the 8th Battalion, 3.8.1917, he commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
