(1855-1930); born Thurles, Ireland; served as Lieutenant Lonsdale´s Horse during both the Zulu War; enlisted in the Natal Mounted Police, 10.8.1879, and served with them during the First Boer War, 1881; advanced Sergeant, 1883; Sub-Inspector 1894; Inspector 1897; advanced Major and J.P. for the Magistrate Division of Pietermaritzburg; he died residing in Eighth Avenue, Durban.
