Regt.), contemporarily engraved in large serif capitals; Turkish Crimea, British die, plugged, with contemporary silver swivel loop and straight bar suspension, unnamed as issued, good very fine (2) Estimate £ 200-240 Lieutenant-Colonel Henry Crawley, born 1811; Commissioned Ensign, 20th (East Devonshire) Regiment of Foot, October 1827; Lieutenant, June 1830; Adjutant, 1838-41; Captain, October 1843; Major, June 1854; served with the Regiment in India, Bermuda, and Canada, and in the Crimea, December 1854 to July 1855, and present at the siege of Sebastopol; retired with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, October 1855. Lieutenant-Colonel Crawley died at home in Brighton, April 1895.
