Sierra Leone Manoh Salijah 1898 (16 Feb.) envelope (opened-out) registered to Hyeres, France and redirected to Marseilles, the reverse endorsed "J. Schultz - Manoh - affriq. occident" with two fine red wax seals inscribed "js", "manoh salijah/sierra leone" c.d.s. in magenta ink, the face panel bearing 1884-91 3d. yellow vertical pair in combination with 1896-97 1d. dull mauve and carmine cancelled with Freetown c.d.s.(9.3) and showing "R" in oval h.s. in the same ink as the despatch c.d.s., Freetown and London (1.4) Registered oval d.s., the reverse also with Liverpool Registered oval d.s. (31.3), and two Hyeres c.d.s. (2.4); a few small imperfections though a scarce and unusual franking from this office. S.G. 32, 42. Photo Estimate £ 600-700
