The Royal Niger Company´s Territories 1888-99 Handstruck Stamps Mail from northern areas sent via Akassa, Burutu or Lokoja 1898 (July) soldier´s envelope "On Active Service. No stamps obtainable..... W.A.F.F. Jebba." to London, showing "2d/466" tax mark with manuscript " 1/2" added at right and showing, on reverse, fine Akassa boxed d.s. (Sacher Type 6), Liverpool Br. Packet (25.8) and London (25.8) c.d.s.; central vertical crease, otherwise fine and the only recorded use of the rectangular seriffed handstamp without adhesives. Photo Estimate £ 600-700
