The Royal Niger Company´s Territories 1888-99 Handstruck Stamps Mail from northern areas sent via Akassa, Burutu or Lokoja 1898 (July) soldier´s envelope from "Cpl. Renton. M.S.C. West African Frontier Force jebba" to Netley and redirected to Wareham, marked "active service No Stamps obtainable", countersigned by the Commanding Officer and showing "d1" charge mark and Netley Abbey (26.8) on face, the reverse with a fine strike of the Akassa boxed d.s. (Sacher Type 6) for 20 July), Liverpool Br. Packet (25.8) and Southampton (25.8) c.d.s.; worn at edges and a little soiled though scarce. Photo Estimate £ 600-700
