The Royal Niger Company´s Territories 1888-99 Handstruck Stamps Burutu "the royal niger company,/chartered & limited./post office/burutu." double-framed d.s. in seriffed letters. Sacher Type 10, S.G. Type 4 1898 (3 Nov.) envelope from England via Burutu to a Captain in the 2nd. Battalion West African Frontier Force at Boussa, bearing 1/2d. vermilion and 1d. lilac (2) cancelled with Maidenhead squared-circle d.s. and showing a fine strike of the datestamp for 13 December alongside, noted as received at Boussa across the face panel in red ink, Liverpool (3.11) and Holyport (3.11) c.d.s. on reverse; an attractive and unusual item of incoming mail.
