The Royal Niger Company´s Territories 1888-99 Handstruck Stamps Akassa "the royal niger company chartered & limited/post/office/akassa." double-oval d.s. Sacher Type 3, S.G. Type 2 1891 (3 Oct.) envelope to Sierra Leone, showing a fair strike of this very rare datestamp on reverse, the face panel showing a superb strike of the "agent general/niger territories" double oval d.s. (Sacher Type 4) for the same date, bearing uncancelled 1887-92 2 1/2d. purple on blue and with three Freetown c.d.s. (22.10). A clean and most appealing Agent General cover, being the earliest recorded use of this datestamp. S.G. Z78.
