The Royal Niger Company´s Territories 1888-99 Handstruck Stamps Akassa "the niger territories/post/office/p o/akassa." triple-oval d.s. Sacher Type 2, S.G. Type 1 1890 (3 Apr.) envelope from England to Rev. Eden of the Church Missionary Society at Onitsha River Niger, bearing 1887-92 6d. purple on rose-red neatly cancelled by West Hartlepool "029" duplex and with a largely fine strike of the oval d.s. for 7 May alongside; the envelope with tear at top affecting the adhesive, and a little stained though an unusual item of incoming mail.
