Gold Coast Elmina 1880 (30 Oct.) 1 1/2d. brown postcard to Ireland, neatly cancelled with distinctive "elmina/paid" boxed d.s. (Type 3), showing a further strike below alongside "paid at cape coast castle" double-ring d.s. (Type F, 3.7), curious "11/8" accountancy mark in red crayon and superb Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. (30.7), Belturst arrival c.d.s. (31.7) on reverse. A most unusually rated card with at least one other seen treated in the same way. Photo Estimate £ 700-800
