Gambia 1882 (23 Feb.) front from Bathurst "via Liverpool" to Marseilles, France, "3" accountancy mark in magenta ink and bearing 1880-81 CC line perf. 1/- green cancelled with "gambia/paid" c.d.s. in red with code that appears to be "3" for "B", showing a further strike of the despatch c.d.s. over-cancelled by partially light Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. (9.3) and with Calais-Paris T.P.O. c.d.s. (18.3) alongside the adhesive; the adhesive with slight colour suffusion at right though exceptionally rare with no other 1/- value of this issue on front or cover known. B.P.A. Certificate (1964).
