Gambia 1881 (3 May) envelope from Thomas Brown & Co., Bathurst by French Mail "per S S ´Amalie´ via Marseilles" to London, "3" accountancy mark in red crayon and bearing 1880-81 CC line perf. 4d. pale brown cancelled with "gambia/a/paid" c.d.s. in red, showing a further strike of the c.d.s. at lower left with London Paid arrival c.d.s.
