Gambia 1881 (Mar.) envelope (flap missing) from Victor Barrère in Bathurst "voie a Liverpool" to Averon, France, "3" accountancy mark (3d. due to G.P.O. in London) in red crayon and bearing 1880-81 CC line perf. 4d. brown cancelled with "gambia/a/paid" c.d.s. in red without day of month or year date, showing a further superb strike at upper right corner and also with sender´s oval cachet partially over-cancelled with Paid Liverpool Br. Packet c.d.s. (17.3) and Calais-Paris T.P.O. c.d.s. (18.3), the reverse with London c.d.s. (17.3) in red and three French transit c.d.s. Rare and attractive. S.G. 15. Photo Estimate £ 800-1,000
