x Tasmania Early Letters and Handstamps 1832 (11 June) entire letter from Launceston to Hertfordshire, rated "1/1", and showing, on reverse, a good strike of "launceston" double-lined oval handstamp with red framed "dover/india letter" h.s. and London transit d.s. (8.12) alongside; the outer letter sheet a little soiled. The long interesting letter from Joseph Fossey, a surveyor, describes conditions in the Colony and advises his cousin to emigrate, but "bring out a wife".. Photo Estimate £ 120-150
