Weston-Super-Mare Grand Pier Co. Ltd., £1 ordinary shares, 18 shillings paid, 1919, ornate border, brown, pink underprint, good very fine and first time at auction. The pier was opened in 1904 to a length of 1080 feet and extended in 1906, although the latter was later dismantled. The theatre in the pavilion seated 2000 people. This structure was mostly destroyed by fire in 1930 was was rebuilt over the next 3 years. Now a listed structure and in constant use. Estimate £ 50
