City of Cologne, 6% Sterling Loan of 1928, bond for £500, a specimen from the Bradbury, Wilkinson & Co. archive, vignette of Cologne cathedral at top, orange and black, with coupons, red circular Bradbury specimen stamp at bottom, extremely fine. Following the default of this loan at the time of WWII the terms of repayment were amended. New bonds printed in different colours were exchanged for the originals in 1953. The later printing of this denomination was done in red. Estimate £ 100
