x Indian Stamps used in the Straits Settlements 1855-65 Typographed Issues Malacca Mail to the United Kingdom 1865 (Nov.) envelope to Penzance, marked "Via Marseilles", bearing 8p. purple, 2a. orange and 4a. green, each clearly cancelled "B/109", showing manuscript "1/6", framed "india paid" in red and framed "insufficient" with manuscript fine calculations alongside; the envelope damaged at upper left though a most attractive three colour franking. Extremely rare, only five covers recorded from Malacca bearing Indian adhesives.
