Spanish Colonies Mariana Islands 1899, the issued stamps used on cover 2c. blue-green (2) and 8c. sepia (2), tied to envelope to Manila by a single "gobierno p.m./ yslas marianas/(arms)" oval cancellation and with "mil.sta.no. 1 manila phil islds/rec´d/dec 11/5 p.m./99"alongside (and with another strike on the reverse), light central vertical filing fold, very fine and an outstanding double foreign rate franking and at 20c. represents the largest recorded franking for this issue.
