Spanish Colonies Mariana Islands 1899, the issued stamps used on cover 2c. blue-green (pair) and 6c. blue, tied by two "gobierno p.m./yslas marianas/(arms)" cancellations to envelope addressed to Manila, on reverse violet double ring "Mil. Sta. No. 1. Philippine Isls/Registered/Dec 11 1899" and black "mil. sta.no. 1 manila, phil. isl´ds/rec´d./dec 11 5pm. 1898" arrival datestamps; the envelope slightly reduced at left, light central horizontal filing fold and tape stains at top and bottom, fine. An extremely rare registered franking bearing the 6c. of which only 50 examples were issued and only four are known on complete covers. Comex (1980) and Soro Bergua (1983) Certificates.
