Cape of Good Hope 1861 (Feb.-Apr.) "Woodblock" Issue 1d. vermilion, a choice unused example of bright colour on wonderfully fresh white paper, good regular margins and free of the usual paper imperfections associated with this issue. One of the finest examples available of this rare stamp. R.P.S. Certificate (1983) incorrectly attributing it as brick-red.
