1880 (1 April) Overprints on Stamps of Great Britain Covers 1880 (14 Sept.) envelope registered from Larnaca to Florence, Italy, bearing 1d. Plate 174 horizontal pair, LK-LL, and 2 1/2d. rosy mauve Plate 14, CL, each cancelled "942" and with "registered/cyprus" oval d.s. alongside and with despatch c.d.s. in the same colour below, the reverse with Brindisi (20.9) and Florence (21.9) c.d.s.; minor soiling at right of face panel, however a rare and important registered franking.
