x New Zealand 1872 (15 Nov.) envelope to Tasmania, bearing 1871 watermark Large Star, perf 12 1/2 2d. orange tied by Auckland "1" duplex, showing "detained for__/additional postage" h.s. with manuscript "1" inserted and 1d. red-brown affixed over the top also tied by Auckland "1" duplex the following day, and showing diamond-framed "ship-letter inwards, free" d.s. in red on reverse; the envelope with flap repaired and internally backed.
