Janbatai Chitral Relief Force" to England, countersigned by the Commanding Officer and twice cancelled with good strikes of the "field p.o. no. 23" c.d.s., the reverse with Sea Post Office and Hull (27.8) c.d.s.; envelope with small tear at top, otherwise fine Estimate £ 150-200 Note: No. 3 Mountain Battery Royal Artillery served with the 1st. Brigade Chitral Relief Force. After the fighting ceased the battery was based at Camp Janbatai West The soldiers rate was increased from 9p. to 1a. earlier in June due to the fall in the value of silver to which the value of the rupee was linked
