Regiment at Cork Barracks and redirected to Chatham and again to Bombay, various datestamps on face and reverse, and 1849 (8 Jan.) entire letter "Per Steamer Via Southampton From No. 1550 Josiah Ker, Pte H M Royal Regiment" at Camp Deesa to North Williamsburg, Canada showing "2" charge h.s., Liverpool transit oval d.s. (28.2) and "1s/4 Currency" h.s. (deleted) on face, London c.d.s. (27.2) and arrival c.d.s. (30.3) on reverse; the first somewhat damaged though a unusual pair of covers from and to Canada relating to the same soldier Estimate £ 150-200
