Thos Mount, Madras" to London, countersigned by the Commanding Officer and showing framed "mount/free" (HG3) in blue and a fine strike of the "india seamen &c: devonport/3" circular h.s. in red, the reverse with fair large part "madras/free/soldiers letter" c.d.s., Madras oval d.s. (21.6) and London arrival c.d.s. (1.10); minor faults at folds and light soiling on reverse though clean and attractive on face and the sole example of the Devonport handstamp recorded.
