Hong Kong 1892 (24 May) envelope "From Synd Sajjad Husain. Hospl Asst. Hong Kong Regt. Hong Kong - China" to Rajputana, India, countersigned by the Commanding Officer and bearing 1884 2c. carmine clearly cancelled "B62" and additionally tied by Hong Kong c.d.s., the reverse with Bombay (13.6) and arrival (15.6) c.d.s.; the envelope with central horizontal crease, otherwise sound. Photo Estimate £ 600-700 Note: The Hong Kong regiment was raised in India on 2 December 1891. It was a Muslim class regiment recruited in Jhelum. It was billeted on the Whitfield Barracks site on 22 May The use of the "B62" obliterator was discontinued in 1885. It was however re-employed in an emergency when there was a large increase in correspondence. Such a situation arose with the arrival of the nearly one thousand strong Hong Kong Regiment and soldiers´´´´ families, writing to tell of their safe arrival
