Ceylon 1870 (4 Aug.) envelope "From 2272 J. Hopkinson 6B "B R.A." at Kandy "via Southampton" to England, countersigned by the Commanding Officer and bearing 1868 1d. blue cancelled "C" in oval of bars and showing "kandy/paid" c.d.s. in red alongside, the reverse with Galle Paid (6.8) and Nottingham (10.9) c.d.s.
