Brig.), generally good very fine (3) Estimate £ 160-200 1447 Private George Henry Crook, born High Wycombe; served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion Rifle Brigade on the Western Front from 7.11.1914; he died of wounds 4.1.1915, the battalion were in the trench sector at Neuve Chapelle at the time; he is buried in the Merville Communal Cemetery Nord, France.
