Haggett. 1/E.Lan:R.); British War and Victory Medals (10622 Pte. R.W. Haggett. E. Lan.R.), good very fine or better (3) Estimate £ 160-200 10622 Private Robert William Haggett, born Islington, London; served during the Great War with the 1st Battalion East Lancashire Regiment on the Western Front from 22.8.1914; he died of wounds 15.1.1915; on the latter date the 1st Battalion were and had been for several days preceeding in the front line trenches of the Le Gheer Sector; Haggett is buried in the Ligny-en-Cambresis Communal Cemtery, France.
