Corp. 76th Bty: R.F.A.); 1914 Star, with Bar (22186 Bmbr: C. Corp. R.F.A.); British War and Victory Medals (22186 Sjt. C. Corp R.A.), generally very fine or better (4) Estimate £ 280-320 22186 Sergeant C. Corp, born Marylebone, London; served during the Great War with "C" Battery 277th Brigade Royal Field Artillery on the Western Front from 6.11.1914; he was killed in action 22.8.1917, when his Battery were in action during the Third Battle of Ypres, mainly around Reninghelst, "C" Battery War Diary gives 14 other ranks killed during that month; Corp is buried in Branhoek New Military Cemetery No. 3, Ieper, Belgium.
