Paduan School (early 16th century), ´Master of the Roman Charity´ Abundance, circular gilt-bronze plaquette, 62mm., a very fine old cast, the gilding very worn, pierced behind head, two areas of solder on the reverse Abundance, or Pomona, diademed and draped, seated on a basket of fruit facing in profile to left, holding in her right hand a plate of fruit and corn-ears, and holding a bundle of more fruit (?) in her lap. There is a rough ground line but no other detail. The figure of Abundance appears on a medal of Maximilian I, dated 1516.
