                        After Danese Cattaneo (c.1519-1573)  Giovanni de´Medici, bronze medal, 57mm., a good old cast with brown patina, casting flaw below cloud on reverse    Obverse: bare-headed bust in profile to left, wearing cuirass and cloak fastened at the shoulders, GIOVANNI DE MEDICI    Reverse: thunderbolt issuing from a cloud, FOLGORE DI GVERRA  Giovanni de´Medici (1498-1526), called delle Banda Nere. A medal was made on his death in 1526 and this version was commissioned by Cosimo I in 1546.
