Great Britain Other Illustrated Envelopes 1903 (5 Nov.) an enigmatic pen and ink scene showing Napoleon standing on the shore while a smoke shrouded devil points the way towards the cliffs of Dover, addressed simply to "Mike" at New Wortley bearing K.E.VII 1/2d. (2) tied by Bramley duplex cancellations; the cover and one adhesive slightly trimmed at top to improve the appearance. A most appealing cover - the subject matter presumably relating to the outbreak of the second Napoleonic War one hundred years before. Photo Estimate £ 150-180
